Finger Foods

Family dinner.

 

 

After school, Oliver usually takes a good nap.

 

Oliver has started learning to eat finger foods. We're working on puffs.

 

He doesn't know what to think about having to chew his food.

 

It's fun watching him learn to feed himself.

 

 

 

 

 

8 months

Oliver turned 8 months this week. It's amazing to me how much he has grown and learned in just 8 months. He has two teeth, sleeps about 9 hours at night, and loves reading books!

I have loved watching Cooper and Oliver starting to interact more. Oliver is so interested in Cooper, and likes to watch everything he does.

 

 

Cooper is also so interested in Oliver. He loves to lick Oliver's face

This weekend

Aunt Lindy came to visit Oliver this weekend. He loved her reading books to him!

 

 

He spent the afternoon on Saturday sorting through clothes, moving Oliver up to 9 month sizes. Thank goodness for hand me downs from our friend Ash!

 

Other than that, we didn't do much this weekend except rest. We took Oliver to the pediatrician on Thursday and found out he has RSV. I've hated seeing him sick. But, I got to swaddle him and snuggle a good bit the last few days.

 

 

His temperature has been up and down.

 

Thankfully, today he hasn't had any fever.

 

Bedtime

Bedtime is one of my favorite parts of the day with Oliver. He sits up in the bath by himself now and loves to splash. Then, he gets bundled him in his towel before we put on his pjs.

 

Some nights Oliver gets to wear his bathrobe :)

 

 

Every night we read a couple of books before going to bed. Oliver checked out his first library books the other day!

 

 

I treasure these nights that he's still letting me rock him before falling asleep.

This weekend

We went to the Vols football game Friday night. Oliver really liked the band playing on the field at half time.

 

 

Saturday we slept in and had morning snuggles!

 

On Sunday we got extra dressed up for Jarred's deacon ordination.

 

I'm so proud to be Jarred's wife and feel privileged to walk alongside him through this journey as he has become a deacon in our church. Since before we started dating, I've admired his heart for the Gospel. Now, as we step forward in faith, I hope and pray that God will use us to further His kingdom.

 

 

An overdue update

I thought about our blog this weekend and realized it's been over a year since my last post. A lot has happened in the last year. We have added our baby boy Oliver to the family.

This was my last picture before Oliver was born at 39 weeks.

 

Oliver was born on 1/21/16 at 12:21pm weighing 6 lbs 15 oz.

 

I stayed home from work with Oliver for his first two months.
