Couples Shower

Jarred and I were thankful to have a fun shower in Birmingham . . . the day before I moved to LC!! :) We loved hanging out with some special friends before heading west.

Jarred and I are so thankful for the friendships we have made from our years at Samford. I wouldn't trade it for the world, and I am going to miss everyone so much!!!

It was especially hard to say goodbye to my sister, Sara. She has always been there for me through many things over the years. She has always been a great influence to me my whole life and has encouraged me to pursue the Lord first and foremost. Sara, you truly are a blessing from God! 

Thanks to Lindy, Lacey, Angela, Elizabeth, Hunter, and David for hosting a fun Mexican dinner and evening! And thank you to our friends who came to the shower, for supporting me and Jarred as we begin our married life together. We love each one of you!!

ABC

I had an alphabet shower in Macon last week. Thank you to the sweet hostesses: Angie, Holly, Cindy, Ellen, & Melia!

Each guest was assigned a letter to use for their gift. Some people were really creative!! The decorations also matched the theme. We had yummy petit fours, fruit, cheese straws, and. . . . some DELICIOUS coffee punch!!

The shower was fun and it was great to catch up with some old friends. I'm so grateful for the family and friends who have invested in my life over the years and love the great memories we have!

Lineville Shower

Sunday we had our first shower at Lineville Baptist Church. We missed having Jarred there, but Lake Charles is about a ten hour drive to Clay County!! So my mom and sister, Sara, enjoyed the beautifully decorated shower and some yummy treats.

I loved meeting alot of Jarred's old teachers and babysitters! I got a taste of how much this small town loves Jarred & the Griffins. I'm so blessed to become a part of the family! I'm also so excited about getting a fun new sis, Lindy!

I was amazed at how the hostesses pulled together a sweet and pretty shower! Jarred & I are so grateful for all the work they did!!

Jarred & I ended up with many beautiful gifts that will be cherished!!

Engagement

Jarred and I started dating in the Spring of 2010. We spent a year developing our relationship and getting to know each other. Then on May 7, 2011 Jarred got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. The wedding date is set for October 15 in Macon, GA and there are more details on our website stephanieandjarred.ourwedding.com We are so excited to begin our lives together, and can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us.

We were so blessed to be able to celebrate the day of our engagement with both sets of parents. They have devoted so much time, energy, and love to helping us become the man & woman we are today.

We are moving to Lake Charles, Louisiana and working with David's brother (the operator of a new Chickfila) and hope for this blog to be a good way for our friends and family to keep updated with our lives.
